Macdonalds Consolidated advertising flyer program has grown tremendously, from 40 customers in 1996, to approximately 200 customers in 2013. This growth was made possible by centralizing in 1996 to a western Canadian program out of the Calgary corporate office. This is the largest independent grocery retailer flyer and advertising program in western Canada. Macdonalds Consolidated has introduced numerous programs and technology updates to enable a program of this size to run efficiently.
The main reason for our success is the work we’ve done on our Family Foods retail banner and program. We have a full package for the independent retailer to brand their stores with the Family Foods name. The program includes the weekly retail flyer that portrays an attractive, bright, easy to read retail flyer that is loaded with product pictures. We have a variety of flexible retail pricing zones to meet our customers’ needs in all areas of Western Canada. Within the weekly flyer, we supply our retailers with numerous merchandising opportunities together with promotions and in-store events.
We also supply Family Foods stores with a complete, professionally designed in- store décor package consisting of department and aisle markers, decorative wall icons, a modern shelf pricing communication program and an outdoor signage program.
